Living in the trust zone
July 26, 2007
Don’t you just hate it when you fret over something and someone comes along and shows you how silly it is?
My pastor bro (Jeff) just had to go and do that today!
He noted:
Here’s the tricky part… Now what/who do you trust? Do you… function off of what you have or what God is calling you to do? For us, God continually calls us to move out of our comfort zone and into an “OH CRAP MOMENT!” For some reason God doesn’t let us get too comfortable. He always moves us toward the next step where our TRUST in Him is evident.
He’s absolutely right, you know.
God has put multiple people in front of me today confirming HIS plan of having Áudrey and Andréia in Ubaúna in the next few weeks. Basically He has said, “Trust me.” Jeff has further reminded me of the very same thing.
Jeff also called to mind this passage:
“The eyes of the Lord search the whole Earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”–2 Chronicles 16:9
I want those eyes to find me!
Oh, sorry Jeff. I guess I just co-oped your blog.

It truly is God’s Will that Audrey and Andreia go to Ubauna and IMMEDIATELY. From the moment I met them and spent a few minutes with them I could feel a Godly energy flowing through them and I felt a great peace that they would be the answer to our prayers concerning a full time pastor in Ubauna. Not only did God bless us with one but TWO. Andreia isn’t just a “pastor’s wife”, she’s a strong minister that I know could lead the people of Ubauna if called. We and Ubauna are so blessed.
This was further confirmed to me the nite that God placed a tremendous burden on Audrey for the souls of Ubauna and independently reaffirmed in my heart His plan for them to be there as full time pastors and IMMEDIATELY. I trust you remember our conversation we had after the service, even before we knew of the burden that God had given Audrey.
Although it is an honor that God has given you as the “Leader” of Gospel for Brazil it also has come with a huge responsibility of being directly involved with the “numbers” of the whole ministry. There is going to inherently be a struggle there for you to deal with. On one hand you have to have strong faith and total reliance on God to provide ALL that is needed in accomplishing His will there but on the other hand you are looking at “hard” numbers/facts constantly concerning the large amount of money and resources needed to make it happen. It’s not in our human nature to not “stress” over needing $15,000 within days when there is barely $500, if that much.
So what is the point to this:
1. Confirmation that this is God’s will and they WILL be in Ubauna very soon. Maybe not by August 10th but that’s okay. God knows the urgency and He hasn’t put everything into place for it to not happen very quickly. Trust me people, He HAS PUT A LOT OF PIECES TOGETHER TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. He will provide.
2. Never let the “numbers” make you doubt what you know to be true. God has given you great vision and “instincts” concerning GFB and all He’s asking from you is to guide the ship on our end but not “make it happen”. That’s His job. Faith, not numbers our responsibility.
It’s time for you to take your leadership to the next level and allow your great faith in God and all He’s doing, all He’s SHOWING you be the driving influence and example to all of us that He is allowing to join this crazy Jesus caravan heading down the road with only the stars (God) to guide us. We lost the map a long time ago. We all need to stop looking down amoungst ourselves trying to find it and just look up. Not only does God give us faith through His Word but also by allowing us to witness and model great faith from other believers. God wants you to be our example.
We had the most fun we’ve ever had on this trip and we can’t wait to take the next ride. Forget seatbelts, that’s too safe. I want to feel the rush of His presence roaring past me going a 100 mph! Just think of the story we will have to tell generations from now about our journey.
We miss you, Arimar and the rest of the caravan very much and never forget we love you.
